Congratulations! The winning group will receive additional points towards their group work grade. All the students presenters will also receive additional points for explaining their group work outputs in relation to the theme given. As explained during the assessment in the class of this first group work, there are things to be considered to make the collage effective and ensure that the information/message will be conveyed to the audience while looking at the tarpaulin. It is not only putting photos, graphics and texts on the tarpaulin to make it a collage but to highlight the main objective of why you are doing the collage - to link the theme with the assigned sustainable development goals. Images taken during the presentation will be available in CE315 Env Engg link on top bar of the site. CE/EE 512 Research Project 2: Final Submission of Research Proposal Manuscript, 18 July 20187/14/2018 Just to reiterate, the deadline for the research proposals is set on Wednesday, 18 July 2018. It should be a complete document - from Chapters 1 to 3, otherwise it will not be accepted and your group will not be allowed to do the oral presentation on 23rd July 2018 (Monday). Again, the group has to make sure to follow the Guidebook as to get the actual lay-out and template of the report.
Moreover, for the group's second proposal, prepare a one-page (single space) PROPOSAL ABSTRACT that contains the following information. a. Specific topic as the Title ( this is not necessarily your title of the proposal and this will change) b. General background of the topic based on the review of related literature c. General Objective to undertake the given topic d. A brief discussion of the methodology and research design (study area, respondents, models, and techniques in data collection and analysis) e.The reason (rationale) why you want to undertake this topic - contribution to the body of knowledge? g. List of References (APA format) - Journal articles that were reviewed Assignment #2 guideline is already available for download. This assignment focuses on legal basis in protecting, preserving and overall managing of the environment. A full awareness of these environmental laws and regulations will provide us a better appreciation of why we have laws to be implemented and complied seriously.
Follow instructions carefully and clearly write your answers in your Env Engg notebook. Refrain from copying from your classmates. NO POINTS FOR IDENTICAL ANSWERS! There will be a meeting tomorrow, Friday 13 July to discuss the following:
1. Non submission of the revised/complete research proposals, DROPPING OF THE SUBJECT. 2. Schedule of proposal oral defense for those who submitted complete manuscripts (Chapters 1-3, including APA reference list) using the prescribed template as stipulated in the Guidebook. Please note that the certification from the adviser still applies. 3. The format for the second backup proposal - RESEARCH ABSTRACT PROPOSAL which contains the following information. a. Specific topic as the Title ( this is not necessarily your title of the proposal and this will change) b. General background of the topic based on the review of related literature c. General Objective to undertake the given topic d. A brief discussion of the methodology and research design (study area, respondents, models, and techniques in data collection and analysis) e.The reason (rationale) why you want to undertake this topic - contribution to the body of knowledge? f. Keywords (a maximum of 5 words) that will directly describe your topic (example: multimedia, smart classroom, student performance, K-12 assessment) g. List of References (APA format) - Journal articles are preferred The above information will be written in one short bond paper, single space, 11-12 font size which also follow the template of an ABSTRACT given in the Guidebook. For the continuation of Group Work #1, every student will submit one journal article or abstract that is related to the proposed topic of the group. AGAIN, EVERY STUDENT WILL SUBMIT ONE JOURNAL ARTICLE ABSTRACT. Copy (cut and paste) and print the journal article abstract (including the title, author, journal name, etc.) in a short bond paper and staple them per group. Make sure that you have to discuss among the group members for proper consolidation of the said submission. There will be no duplication of article abstract.
If the group has two proposed topics, then you can choose either of the two or both. Please do not submit with sliding plastic folders, except the black clip that fastens the group submission. ONLY THE ABSTRACT OF THE JOURNAL ARTICLE WILL BE SUBMITTED AND THE REFERENCE LIST OF ALL THE ABSTRACTS SUBMITTED BY THE GROUP USING THE APA REFERENCING STYLE.
